I currently work for NHS Wales Informatics Service (NWIS) as the Principal Support and Business Analyst for the Welsh Radiology Information System (WRIS). I have been working in this role for the past ten months on an ‘acting up’ basis, and I am applying for the position of Principal Support and Business Analyst on a permanent basis as I possess the variety of skills required to fulfil the role. I am a determined and highly organised individual, with a strong work ethic and over 10 years extensive and diverse experience within an office environment, which includes service management, team leadership, training, support and analysis. I joined NHS Wales Informatics Services in 2013 as a Service Desk Officer following a change in career.†¦show more content†¦For the past ten months, whilst working as the Principal Support and Business Analyst, I have been responsible for managing the WRIS support function; a team of six Support and Business analysts, including a Senior Support and Business Analyst. This has involved managing the team to ensure that the WRIS application performs to the requirements of its users and clinicians. Subsequently, I ensure that all service requests, incidents, problem and change records, adhere to quality standards, are kept up to date, and are resolved/progressed within the agreed timeframe and in line with Service Level Agreements. I also review KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports, and look to identify and address areas for improvement. I plan, manage and support the production of business requirements and detailed system requirement specifications (SRSs) for the development of new modules and enhancements to the WRIS application. I manage the support teams use of Team Foundation Server (TFS), ensuring that all items, stories and test scripts are kept up to date. I also ensure that access documents, inventories, configuration maps and the configuration management database (CMDB) are kept up to date, and that all SQL database maintenance plans are functioning as required.
